My little Pia

We started a little tradition at our house about a month ago of Slumber Parties. This event provides us with a little girl who sleeps with us and gets to stay up past bed time to play the wii and watch movies. She has been sleeping in our bed the first few times, but that got a little out of hand when our peaceful sleep started thrashing in bed. Now that I have a belly protruding, thats probably not so safe to say the least. So this weekend we built a fortress instead and slept in the family room.
We decided on a fort because she has been in love with the cute book, If You Give A Pig A Party. She builds a fortress in the book and has a slumber party with her friends. Also we got the movie, Marmeduke, from Netflix to watch on the portable DVD player inside the fort.

I can't believe the excitement that came over her. She went with daddy to the mailbox to get the movie, and was all smiles. I told her to get in her jammies, brush her teeth and clean up all her toys before we started on the fort. She listened quite well and fast. I would here a giggling shreek from her occasionally while she was completeing her tasks. I didn't expect her to be this excited.

Becuase of her excitement, our night didn't come to an end til 11 pm. She was just so restless from her excitement earlier, that she couldn't fall asleep. We finally turned off the TV, (which usually puts her to sleep on these fun nights) and made her turn over and sleep, probably not 5 seconds later she was out.

and of course, the dogs weasled their way into the comfort of our fortress. Bella was the only one missing from our slumber party.

Now also this week, Allisandria has found herself napping...well falling asleep while playing on the computer, or my ipod while I worked/quiet time. I noticed she fell asleep at the desk when I didn't hear anymore sound effects coming from the Nick Jr. website. There was no clicking of the mouse a million times, nothin. I walked over and there she was. like this.

I slowly turned her around in the chair so she wouldn't fall out of it as i turned it, and grabbed a blanket to rest her kinked head on.

Then, on Friday, she did the same thing. Right in the middle of playing a game on my ipod. This time she was on my bed.

I love you Pia.
