June vacation!

On June 19th we flew up to Utah for our best friends wedding. COngrats Alex and Erin!!! We enjoyed a couple nights in Brigham City area, where Hank, the black lab, awaited Allisandria. He is just a beg teddy bear with a face you just want to kiss. Allisandria enjoyed riding on his back, snuggling, and even falling asleep with him on the floor one evening. Here is the story. So I had put her down to bed and she went down successfully. Then about 15 minutes later she woke up crying and couldn't go back to sleep so I brought her out to the family room to watch tv with us. She had immediatly fallen asleep on my chest when all of a sudden she sat up, pointed to Hank on the floor and said, "dis". I put her down. She took her blanket and went to Hank. He awaited with a spot for her on the floor next to him. She just wanted to sleep with Hank. There she slept for a good 20 minutes, then we moved her back to her bed. It was a tender moment.

After the trip to Brigham and Dave left back for home, Pia and I decided we better stay longer with Gma and Gpa Bowen in Malad, ID. She loves her grandparents. Especially Gpa. They are buddies. There, we enjoyed fresh food from the garden, fed the cows gpa is fattening up for some great steaks next year, sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We litterally just sat outside all day one day. Didn't do much but sit and talk. It was splendid! Then of course Uncle Marv and Aunt Dianne made sure I got all the dining out requests. That is the Malad Drive in, THe Dude Ranch Cafe and the Pizza Stop (used to be Extreem Pizza) SOOOOOO good. I ate well, but the baby in my tummy did not agree. This one is kickin my bum. It was so sad to leave Gma and Gpa. We love to visit with them. On teh day we were leaving, Allisandria had climbed up on her "purch" the kitchen chair, to look out at the cows in the pasture. She had fallen and bit through her lip. There was a lot of blood, and since it went through both sides of her lip, I decided we'd better head down to the hospital to see about stitches. Since the Hospital is the size of a Large Bedroom, the wait couldn't be bad. And it wasn't. I think it took longer for me to wait for grandma to get out of the car than it was for us to wait to see a dr. and be discharged. Dr. saw the lip, and said it was minor enough for no stitches, just some ice and kisses. She got a sticker and he sent us on our way without a bill to worry about. Thanks Dr.! Now she is just slowly recovering with the little cut on the outside of her lip. The inside healed quite fast. Then while we were at the airport waiting our flight, we volunteered our seat since southwest over booked. I got reimbursed for my flight plus $200. So I have $331.60 to spend on a flight. My room mates from college and I have planned a reunion. So i dont' have to pay for my flight anymore. Yay! nmnmcnnnnnnnnn nncccccc (allisandria)

  1. Trish, Pia is getting so big and her hair is so long! I really, really like her. I laughed when you said you waited longer for Grandma to get out of the car than wait in the ER. Oh, I love that old lady.
