Family Fun Day- June 1, 2013

I had it planned as one of our Summer Activities to visit a local farm.  Why had I waited so long to do this? We enjoyed the fun filled day at Tolmachoff Farms.  Only about 15 minutes away, we had the wonderful opportunity, along with 15 million other people, to play games, see animals and pick fresh food from the farm.

The girls enjoyed an activity where they find a needle in the haystack.  It was a giant foam needle that was easy to find and in return received a cool animal hat.

There was a rope climbing structure that Allisandria loved.

Notice Dave in the background?  Yep...She stands just like him.  I noticed this when I about cropped him out while editing the photo and realized it and laughed!

Greyson and his new walking routine turned out to be the cutest.  He loves to wander.  Just walking in circles.  He enjoyed seeing the animals and walked from one goat to another, but if they moved to fast to turn to him, it made him nervous.  This is a whole new territory for him.  He thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Allisandria went down a huge tunnel slide made from an underground pipe.

There were these neat duck race water pump things where you pump the well to get the current flowing and you move the duck along to the other side where your partner waits to send the duck back.  IT was cute and clever.

In addition to a bouncy house, (from our experience is a big NO) there was this giant dome trampoline.  Super fun.  It wasn't enclosed and was huge for plenty of little people to enjoy.  I got up there with Greyson and he giggled the entire time.

There was a little race track where the littles were invited to ride these tractor inspired pedal carts. The path went in circles around hay bails.

All aboard the cow train! hauled by a 4 wheeler, we rode through the farm fields and dust.  IT was a hot 107 degrees, so the slight breeze from the little ride was nice.

We laughed our way through the corn shucking contest.  Each kid was to completely shuck the husk off of two ears of corn.  The ones who did it first won.  Each person got to keep their two ears of corn to take home.  I went along and did it too after I heard that part!  So we got to bring home seven ears of corn.
They also participated in the watermelon eating contest.  There are no pictures of that because I was in the fields picking my vegetables to take home.

Later that day our dear friends came for a visit from Vegas.  Becca Loveland and her three children, Gabby, Olivia and Zach.  We had a blast visiting for a couple hours. We miss them.  Pia and Gabby have been buddies from birth.

Greyson, 17 months, and Zack 8 months.
