Cinderella

little funnies

So Allisandria is just sprouting before our eyes. We have been making her say her words instead of just the sign language and she has been doing really well. She will try to say pretty much anything, some of it sounds pretty good and some of it is just..well...sounds. "Baby" and "Bapa" (grandpa) are among the new words. Last sunday I was getting her out of the car to go into church and our friends Frank and Christina parked next to us. They are not old by any means but Allisandria pointed to Frank and said "BaPa". I laughed. Frank loves his new "grandaughter".

If you ask Allisandria where something or someone is that isn't in the room she says, "know" and shrugs just one shoulder. IT is rather cute.

Then while at the mall last night, we were in the dressing room while daddy was trying on some new golf shorts. Allisandria thought she needed to pull her shorts off too. Oh I love this girl.

FYI_ we are having another little girl! Welcome little Anabella!!!

blast from the past

Jan 5, 2008 Getting dressed to leave the Hospital.

revelations

There are so many times that I look at her and just see perfection. What a little miracle. There is no greater joy than these little moments. I am so greatful that I see that. I am so greatful that I am not a mom who chooses career over kids, or has issues that could seperate me from my kids. I am so greatful to have a testimony and to acknowledge that right thing and pursue it.

I have been thinking lately about quiting my job as hairstylist at the Salon. I would still do it at home of course but I would just remove myself from the Salon atmosphere. I love the atmosphere thought. I love my salon, I love the people I work with. I couldn't ask for a better place to be. I always thought (before I was a mom) That i would be one of those who would always work in teh salon, no matter what. But now, having a child and another on the way, I live my life as worthily as possible, I try to be the best person I can. I know in my heart that I need to be home completely. This is such a hard decision for me. A true sacrifice that I would need to make. Giving up my love of hair in the working world to work as a mother, raising my children. I truely believe that my blessings will be even greater once I make that sacrifice. It is just so hard executing it.

I just look at my little peanut and see her playing with the dogs. Feeding them a pretend soup where the haircomb is the spoon and the lid to the waterbottle is the bowl. She shakes her fingers at the dogs and plays "mommy". She jibbers and then says "do do do" That is what I say "Don't do it." instead of "no no no." So her interpretation is "do do do". I see her holding a conversation with bo. He sits adn listens, but i wonder what he is thinking in his head. He can't understand a lick of what she is saying, but he is sweet to lay by her and look at her.

I put the safetly lock latches on teh DVD cabinet yesturday. She has been obsessed with picking out a DVD to watch. She pulls them all out to look at the animals and what not. Then she brings it to me saying, "this". I say in return, "Madagascar?" and she replys with enthusiasm, "Yeah!". Like it was my idea. She is a funny one that Allisandria. She does the same thing with her wagon. Since it is Hotter than Haiti's here, we don't get out much in the summer. She will sit in her wagon and say "this". I reply, "wagon?" and she says with enthusiasm, "Yeah!". So I wheel her around in the house. I think that thing has seen more miles in the house than on the streets. That will change this winter.

I love it when Dave comes home to see his family. I am sure sometimes he dreads coming home to the nagging wife that is stressed, but I am not that way all the time. I can imagine how excited he gets to come home and have his little girl run to him. I love it when I come home from work and see them playing. He loves to lay on the ground and Allisandria bounces on him. North joins her as he stands on his chest smothering his face with Northy hugs. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Take me out to the Ball game!!!

So Monday, August 10th, Dave scored big with 4 tickets to the Dbacks game. One of his contractors he works with has season tickets. So we went and brought along our good friends, Shawn and Teagan Condie. I went to beauty school with Teagan up in UT 6 years ago. They live in Mesa and we have jsut been great friends over the years. Now that we have kids, it is hard to get together sometimes. We had enough of the separation and invited them to come. We had a blast. We were on the 16th row, right next to the pitcher's warm up area. We were playin and talkin with them all night. We even made it on National TV!!! Dbacks wond the night. It was a fun fast night. The game went smoothly and we enjoyed the hotdogs and philly cheese stake sandwhiches. Yummy!!!! We had a blast!!! Can't beat free tickets that let you interact with the home team!!!! Dbacks beat the Mets!!! awesome.

Allisandria's new bed

We Got Little Allisandria a new bed from Craigs List. She has been napping on big beds for a few weeks now when my friend watches her. She sleeps with no hesitation. So I tested it out for myself cause I could hardley believe Becca when she told me. And sure enough, she sleeps. SOmetimes longer than when she is in the crib or pack and play. She is freaked out by the pack and play now when she is in someone elses home. She wanted to lay on the frame. Here she is trying her new bed out before it is even put together.

My baby

This was taken yesturday at my appoinment. 12 weeks. Dave wasn't able to make the first one so he made arrangments to come to this appointment and hear the heart beat. When Folkestad walked in he told us we might not hear the heart beat cause the baby is still too young, so he did an ultrasound instead so we could see the hearbeat. He was right, we didn't hear it but we definately saw that thing fluttering. It was such an unexpected surprise. I was so happy that Dave got to see the baby. So this is an extra ultrasound I get. I already get 3. I am so spoiled. 2 more months and we will know the gender! Yay! NOtice the hand by "her" face. She is waving to me. Allisandria has already taught her so well.

This one up top is when I was 7 1/2 weeks pregnant. YOu can kind of see the little guy.

Allisandria

Sweet little Pia is now in nursery. I peeked in on her and there she was sitting at the little table eating her snack drinking from a little dixie cup. I had a moment. Enjoy her first coloring page. It has been up on the fridge.

Allisandria will start saying "Hi" really cute with squinty eyes and a little wave of her hand when she is getting in trouble. Why is that she thinks that by being extra cute she won't get in trouble. Parenting is so hard.

news flash

I'm pregnant. 8 weeks. due Feb. 10, 2010!!!

June vacation!

On June 19th we flew up to Utah for our best friends wedding. COngrats Alex and Erin!!! We enjoyed a couple nights in Brigham City area, where Hank, the black lab, awaited Allisandria. He is just a beg teddy bear with a face you just want to kiss. Allisandria enjoyed riding on his back, snuggling, and even falling asleep with him on the floor one evening. Here is the story. So I had put her down to bed and she went down successfully. Then about 15 minutes later she woke up crying and couldn't go back to sleep so I brought her out to the family room to watch tv with us. She had immediatly fallen asleep on my chest when all of a sudden she sat up, pointed to Hank on the floor and said, "dis". I put her down. She took her blanket and went to Hank. He awaited with a spot for her on the floor next to him. She just wanted to sleep with Hank. There she slept for a good 20 minutes, then we moved her back to her bed. It was a tender moment.

After the trip to Brigham and Dave left back for home, Pia and I decided we better stay longer with Gma and Gpa Bowen in Malad, ID. She loves her grandparents. Especially Gpa. They are buddies. There, we enjoyed fresh food from the garden, fed the cows gpa is fattening up for some great steaks next year, sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We litterally just sat outside all day one day. Didn't do much but sit and talk. It was splendid! Then of course Uncle Marv and Aunt Dianne made sure I got all the dining out requests. That is the Malad Drive in, THe Dude Ranch Cafe and the Pizza Stop (used to be Extreem Pizza) SOOOOOO good. I ate well, but the baby in my tummy did not agree. This one is kickin my bum. It was so sad to leave Gma and Gpa. We love to visit with them. On teh day we were leaving, Allisandria had climbed up on her "purch" the kitchen chair, to look out at the cows in the pasture. She had fallen and bit through her lip. There was a lot of blood, and since it went through both sides of her lip, I decided we'd better head down to the hospital to see about stitches. Since the Hospital is the size of a Large Bedroom, the wait couldn't be bad. And it wasn't. I think it took longer for me to wait for grandma to get out of the car than it was for us to wait to see a dr. and be discharged. Dr. saw the lip, and said it was minor enough for no stitches, just some ice and kisses. She got a sticker and he sent us on our way without a bill to worry about. Thanks Dr.! Now she is just slowly recovering with the little cut on the outside of her lip. The inside healed quite fast. Then while we were at the airport waiting our flight, we volunteered our seat since southwest over booked. I got reimbursed for my flight plus $200. So I have $331.60 to spend on a flight. My room mates from college and I have planned a reunion. So i dont' have to pay for my flight anymore. Yay! nmnmcnnnnnnnnn nncccccc (allisandria)

Life- my journal-

The last week has been quite eventful. Well actually it started a couple of weeks ago. I got recruited to join the awesome Stake Aerobics. Cute girl, Emily, from my ward instructs, so I am supporting her. I thought I would never conform. I am conforming to a lot of things lately, so I guess that doesn't mean a thing. I started, I did it, and am still doin it. It is a good hour of sweating to awesome music. If you have heard it, then you know what I mean. I tried to bring my good old volleyball cd, but the music was too fast. We were doin triple time. So then, we switched back. sorry. Allisandria didn't quite understand what was going on, she cried. Now she just follows along with some of the moves. Last Wednesday the 10th, I went to work with dave. That meant we drove down to Tucson, and looked at properties that are being foreclosed on by Wachovia. That is what he does. He then looks and assess all the damage that people do to them when they are kicked out, and fixes them up with the contractors that he hires. Then he has Realtors sell the properties back out. There are some great deals man. But let me tell you. I wish I had pictures of some of these properties. They are in such foul shape. I can't believe what people do and how they live. All in all it was a fun day to spend with Daddy. Allisandria was really good, spite the fever that she had been fighting the evening prior.
Thursday she still had a little fever when she woke in the middle of the night and we put her in bed with us. I work on thursdays so I was hoping that the fever would subside. My good friend Marideth watched her for me and sure enough she got another fever. They weren't too high of fevers, 100.9 at the highest, but it was still enought that she wasn't acting herself. Along with the fever, she had green goo coming from her nose. Again Thursday night she woke up just after midnight. Dave brought her in bed with us again. Friday, I called the nurse. She said bring her in. Dr. Nem. checked her, good old common cold. Nothing some rest, and Z-pack can't fix. Today she is doing great. Today is the last day for the z-pack.
Yesturday I finally finished Breaking Dawn. Why do I love these books. That is another thing I conformed to. I believe Camille is the only one who has held out. These have been such a great alternative to watching tv. Although I still do that in the evening. But these are jsut as dramatic and exciting as watching Grey's Anatomy. Now what am I gonna read? Maybe I will start them over.
I planted flowers in pots last week and bought a nector bird feeder and hung it. Allisandria and I go out in the morning when the weather is perfect and the porch is shaded and she plays in teh rocks, digging. Now that she wants to go outside. She loves birds so I thought it would be fun to get a bird feeder so she can seem them close up. They come and go. They are so cute. It is so relaxing and fun seeing her playing outside. We sat with her in nursery on sunday. She was sitting at the table eating snacks and I had a moment. SHe looked so BIG sitting there. And that is how it is she keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Dave got a chance to go golfing last week at this $200,000 membership country club in scottsdale. The guy who has the membership is trying to get Dave's business so he was pampering him. It is around $200 a round. Dave said it was amazing. Catered breakfast, lunch, food offered all through out the course. Amazing restrooms with towels. Where was they guy who sits in the corner in the restroom? He was probably there putting out personalized soaps at each of the sinks. This was top notch. He loved every minute of it. He bought a couple of new clubs this past couple of months. He really enjoys this sport. He is getting better and better everytime he plays. He always tells me " you got your friends and your pedicures and stuff, I need my golf." He is right. My toes do always look good. lol.
I cut and colored my hair. LYnsee did it for me. I got a longer bob, and colored it a darker blond to blend in with my natural color along with a few hilites. I love the new look. I needed a change. I was looking like one of Heff's girls with all the blonde in my hair. I toned it down. Love it!! Thanks Lynsee!!!!

Allisandria's new word

Just seconds ago Allisandria pointed to bo and said "B B Ba Ba Ba." I new she would say his name before anything else. Her vocab consists of the following:
"Whasat?" (What's that?)
"Da" (Dad)
"Mama"
"Whosat?" (Who's that?)
"eyes"
"Jesus"
"Hi"
and a few animal sounds.
She is so smart :)

amazing hair!

So I was cutting a new client's hair on Saturday. I had washed her hair, and was combing it out when all of a sudden one of her hairs did this...Do you see the heart? Totally did it on it's own. I just am glad that there is a camara on my phone.

North's Puppies

On Saturday, the 30th, I received a text message from my good friend, Dinese Grover. She is a friend, fellow hair dresser, and the owner of North's little girlfriend, Roxy. They had a litter of puppies a year ago. There were five in that litter, and only 3 made it. This time.....she had 7!!! So she texted me saying that there was one puppy so far. I was at work in the middle of doing a haircut. I was so excited. I called Dinese and she said that she was gone at Walmart and her daughter had called and Roxy had delivered a puppy so far. I wanted to be there to help out so bad but I was at work. AAARrrggghh. I couldn't get through those last few Hair cuts fast enough. We went over there after I got off work and there they were. All 7 of them. 3 girls and 4 boys. All good size. The last two that were born were twins. They shared an ambilical chord and came out at the same time. I was sad I missed the birth, but I got to see them right after. She just shot those puppies right out. Here are some pictures. Way to go Roxy! Ata boy North!!!!

DisneyLand Baby!!!

As soon as we stepped through the Ticket area, there they were. Waiting for us. I was so excited to be there with my little family of 3. It hit me hard. Growing up, I had gone to Disneyland with my parents. Now I was taking my daughter, with my husband. I am the parent now. I was ballin my eyes out thinking about that while the cute old men of the band were playing all these great songs.
Then on Main Street, we saw Bindi the Jungle girl (Croc. Hunter's daughter) and her mother, just walking along enjoying Disneyland. There were no crowds around them, nothin. I wonder if anyone would really recognize her, but I sure did. I didn't grab a photo cause we were walking the opposite direction, and I am not one to bother stars i guess, (cause I see them all the time.). We just kept on trekkin
-loved Space Mountain. We had to ride the ride individually since Allisandria isn't big enough, so we got what's called a "switch pass". One waits in line, then the other person waits at the exit, then as soon as you finish the ride, the other person goes right up to the front of the line through the exit and takes a ride. Very awesome especially when we used fast passes on all the rides we could. We didn't have to wait long at all.

-The Haunted Mansion totally was lame. They need to make that thing a little creepier. Pia wasn't even scared. She liked the part where the ghosts are sitting with you in your seat and you see them in the mirror.
-finding Nemo submarine- CRAZY cool, but Crazy long line and they don't even have a fast pass for it. IT was ALWAYS at least a 60 minute wait. Very cool ride though. Pia loved seeing the bubbles at the windows. She was trying to grab them through the window.
-It's a small world rocked. That line always moves pretty fast. Pia loved that. She is a "silent excitement" observer uaually, she just sits in amazement, but on this ride she was pointing to everything.

-Who doesn't love a little Pirates of the Carribean?

-Indiana Jones is awesome, I wish it was a little longer though.

-Splash Mountain didn't splash me much, I had a huge guy sitting in front of me, and I was in the last seat. :(

-Diaper changing rocks at Disneyland!!!!!!! seriously?

California Screamin had me peein my pants!!! Loved it. Dave went on the bungie blasting thing, a couple of times. That freaks me out, but he loved it. I may have done it if he could have gone with me, but.....he couldn't cause the baby. Thank goodness for underage, and under the minimum height children. I need moral support for those kind of rides.

-Sea World was cool, went to all the shows. Again, I cried durring Shamu Believe show cause of the story of the kid who had a dream to be a trainer, and there we was all grown up and a trainer at Sea World. They picked this cute little girl from the audience and she wanted to be a trainer when she grows up and she got to do all sorts of cool stuff with Shamu. I was crying. I am such a baby. I think having kids totally ruins the "cowboy up" phrase. I can't hold in a tear for any thing. I guess being sentimental can be a good thing right? Pia loved Sea World. I love her. I love my little family. Each Day we grew more and more tired. Especially Allisandria. She was such a good girl and would fall asleep in the stroller, but only for an hour or so. Then we wouldn't get into bed until 8 or 9. Then up again around 6 or 7. Our legs were sore, and Allisandria got sick of the stroller, so we had a leish to put on her, she hated that too, but we managed. All in all, I had teh best time with my family. Dave is such a trooper carrying the backpack and pushing the stroller. I offered but he insisted. My back would ache here and there, but DR. said that walking is the best thing for back muscels. Thanks good ness. I dont' want to throw my back out again. We ate good at Coco's everymornin, packed a lunch everyday, and ate good Disney food for dinner. I loved my trip. Enjoy the cute pictures.

Cibola Vista/Park Day

Today we went swimming with all of us girls. Lynsee has the time share there so we were allowed to use the pool. It was way fun. Sandy usually has had issues with the water in the past, but today she overcame her battle and had fun. So of course I had to take pictures of our progress. I hope I don't offend anyone with my "Beached Whale" body.

Cute Hair right?

So there is a blog called http://www.cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/ . If you haven't seen it you better go now. So cute styles for girls. I got inspired and was reminded of cute things that I learned in Beauty School. Good thing Sandy has hair for me to play with. Yesturday was two french braids. I should have taken a picture of it. Dangit.

Happy Birthday Becca!!

Allisandria & Gabby

Rachel & Becca

Monday the 18th was Becca Loveland's Birthday. We all went to Paradise Bakery for lunch. What a site a site that was. A bunch of stay at home mommy's trying to get out of the house for some fun. There were kids and food everywhere. Can't leave without a few drink spills too!!! That is when I sit back and realized how special and blessed we are to have friends to go do that with. Thanks guys!!!

I guess it is alright. I also just signed on to Twitter? WHat the heck. I dont' understand it but I did it. (why do i waste my time on the computer?) I have had a constant headache, my house is a mess, and Allisandria is messing with the dog food. Seriously?

Pay it Forward

So, here's how this game works-the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a handmade gift from me. Let me know what you want. Don't volunteer me for any huge projects though. lol. The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (or be lazy and copy and paste like I did). Then come back, let me know you're going to play and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift!

Add your self in the comment box

*( ) - me thinking in my head.

I am new to this whole blogging world. (I can't believe I gave in) Leave your blog info so I can add you to my list. (spoken like true greenie. I am the typical stay at home mommy. I have converted and I want to pull my hair out, but hate to admit, that this is fun.) This is purely cause of Peer Pressure. (there is no such thing as peer pressure, just pure woosyness.)

This is the family. NOrth, Dave and me , Bo and Allisandria

My Favorite things!!!

So my new favorite mascara is Cover Girl Lash Blast!!!!! Try it!
Eyelashe Curling Tip- Take your eyelash curler and hold it to the got curling iron, the blow dryer, or flat iron for a few secons to heat it up. Then place on your lashes. You get a greater curl that lasts longer. But be careful.... it can get hot!!! This is a great tip if you fon't want to wear mascara and want to go all natural instead. Lasts all day. Great for Summer!!!
