Halloween 2013

Halloween 2013

With allisandria in kindergarten now, we enjoy doin her homework when it involves a craft or two. We did some leaf rubbing pictures. They loved it very much.
Halloween was little different this year when it came to trick or treating. We went to our ward trunk or treat and the girls wore costumes #1. Allisandria was draculaura from monster high and Bella was rapunzle, Greyson was Nacho Libre. With getting so much candy from just that one night, we didn't see it necessary to go trick or treating again of halloween night. We leg the girls dress up again, PIA as Taylor swift and Bella as Ariel and Greyson a more improved nacho. We enjoyed a night with the fire pit in the driveway roasting hot dogs and marshmallows while handing out candy. It was a fun night that we may do for a couple years.

Halloween 2013 continued

Halloween 2013

This year I wasn't able to tackle my own haunted house but I was lucky enough to be inspiration for a huge one for a fund raiser. My Pinterest board came to life as a friend executed my every halloween dream and better yet I got to be a part of it with out being in charge I just didn't have the time his year. I of course was the woman in black lurking in the shadows and chasing people. I was your worst nightmare. Some didn't know I was real until they got closer and I scared hem half to death. This was when I was standing in the corner very still with a tilt to my head. :) best two nights ever. The vacant house another just moved out of was completely transformed into a creepy maze of haunts. The Asylum begun.

December 2013

This month was a great one. Just starting to wind down from all the boutiques I did and enjoying the month doing crafts and Christmas festivities along with Greyson turning 2. Holy moly. This boy.
We started off the month getting ready for Cinderella to arrive, our elf. Allisandria was asked to write her a welcome letter after we put decorations up and read the elf on The shelf book. She is getting so good at writing and figuring out words.
I enjoyed myself with a few Christmas crafts. Trying to use up things I already have, I made some cute scrap banners from some holiday fabric. Fun and easy. I may be addicted to it now. I made 6. :)

Christmas 2013

Christmas 2013

Christmas morning 2013

I captured a couple videos and a few pictures. Here is a priceless one. Greyson was able to open his own presents and understand that there would be something awesome inside. It was definitely wonderful to watch the kids open their presents. Thank you to grandma and grandpa tippetts for their cool reading pillows, uncle Jason and aunt Natalie for the cool card games and gift cards and aunt keri and uncle Eric and family for the christmas treats. We love you all. I think our next family reunion should be over Christmas.

One thing at a time

Today after doing a number of things on my schedule, I was reminded of the saying, "there's not enough hours in the day". Bein a mother of three, a wife, a business owner, a friend, crafter, musician, artist, a freaking awesome halloween fanatic and person of faith, I wear many hats and not enough hours to wear them. But today I got to wear a great hat. My time here on earth as a mother has been the best so far. I jumped on the "jumpoline" with 2 of my kids this morning at a friends house. So fun. Their smiles and giggle after each time their feet come back to the surface and their bodies are jolted around ending in a face plant or burn. I'm reminded of the fun me and my sister Tasha would have jumping ever so high while on lookers stopped and watched. The slumber parties we would have only to find ourselves gathered in the middle of the trampoline where gravity met with us. Jumping while the sprinkler was is under it. Laying underneath the tramp while others were jumping. Oh the thrills we shared with that. The fun we had outside with no electronics. Video games were far and in between.
I love my kids.
I love little moments and I am reminded that I have to take my responsibilities that I choose to have, one at a time so I can give my all to each of them.

Have a great day,
Tricia

About a girl and a convertible

A day to look forward to

With all the craziness in my life right now, no wonder I look forward to the weekend. Overdue quality playing time with the kids, sleeping in...wait that never happens, homemade breakfasts, fresh air, maybe throw in a pointless 5 minute nap on the floor when the littles are trying to play airplane on you. It's all that I look forward to. No agenda no expectations. So today we did just that.

Got a much needed phone call from a gentleman that asked for my thoughts and ideas on a. Haunted house he is doing for a fundraiser. Um YES! Since I had to cancel my own haunted house this year cause other things have made me too busy to do so. And what was his theme? Insane asylum! Just like mine. I suggested he come over so we could really go over what I could help out with. He displayed a layout of a empty house that the owners are letting them use. How cool!? He then told me he has been following my halloween Pinterest board, YES! So we planned and I suggested and I gave him the props I had to use. I won't be in charge of this event but you better know I am helping out as much as I can. Yay!
So since we had pulled out the props I made last year, I then decorated the from yard a little. Just need some massive spider webs and a few body bags and I'll be complete.

It was a beautiful day today. The weather being perfect to be playing in the front. Bikes were out, sidewalk chalk, the dog...yes finally it is getting cooler. So to celebrate he change, I made a yummy treat tonight for our movie night. White chocolate covered pretzel popcorn. Deliciously creamy salty and crunchy. Perfection. Good day!

Greyson first big owie

Little guy sprained his wrist. He was pitching a fit while I was holding his hand and he started to throw his body around. I held on tightly to prevent him hitting his head on the ground. Instead his wrist popped and we went to the ER. He now sports the cutest little brace and pats ever so gently while saying. "Ow" with a little pitiful cry. Love this kid.

In my world

Every day we sit at the door until it is time to walk to the bus stop and pick up ALlisandria.  This day we happened to see quite a large moth up in the ceiling of the front porch.  It was a good couple inches long.  Greyson kept calling it an airplane, and Anabella was quite worried that it would fly in the house.  So I grabbed a photo of it before it disappeared.

I put the covers on my machines to remind me that not every day needs to be filled with work.  I am reminded so many times that I need to stop and take time to admire the regular old things that happen in my day.  Someday I will regret not capturing a photo of what the places and people are like around me.

Organization....what's that? I do do it quite often, but as soon as orders set in its over.  Plus busy season is starting.  I will be glad when December comes and I can rest for a month.

Oh North.  You lazy mutt.  Yes he is quite comfortable catching some z's on a pile of "shred me" mail.  This dog will lay on anything that is on the ground.  A shoe, a back pack, a peice of paper, a pillow, a shirt.  He reminded me today that I need to get to that pile and shred.  I put Bella to work with me and we tackeled it.  North will need to find a new place to sleep now.

Slumber parties happen once a week on a friday or saturday.  We let the girls sleep out in the family room and we stay up watching a movie and eating homemade kettle corn.  Bella now asks every day lately if we can have a slumber party.  I always remind her that we will on friday or Saturday.  So now for her naps, the last couple of days, she has been having a slumber party on the floor in her room.  Whatever gets her napping every day, I'm game.

After she wakes she will usually find North and snuggle near him for a little while she is "waking up".

I am so grateful for this machine right here.  My Crockpot.  I love not having to worry about dinner from time to time.  I can smell it through out the day and it warms my heart knowing that I can play a round of flash cards with my kids before it's time to eat.

Today was good.  Although feeling under the weather with a horrid cough, breaking the garage door, I still feel like a triumphed over something that has been bothering me a while.  I say and think all the time that soemthing has gotta give.  My life is filled to the max with "I gotta do this." and "Not right now, I am busy" and "I don't have time for this crap".  Today I set a goal of 1 hour of work, and the dishes can wait.  There was a need for a trip to the library, and some quality floor time with my kids.  Some good stories were shared with Anabella.  I introduced "Alice in Wonderland" to her tonight.  We read the book, then I remembered that the movie is on Netflix right now.  We started it before it was time for bed.  I love magical moments.  Especially when they involve me putting aside my busy life to cherish little moments of a regular day with my family.

A day of Summer in JULY

Greyson...little boy.  Growing up so fast.  He often puts on silly faces and definately knows how to put on the charm.  All those teeth.  They kill me.  Even in just a white onesie, this boy steels my heart. Every time.

There is not a day that goes by when the sweet nectar of Otter Pops don't get pulled out.  Although they are challenging to conquer for eager little fingers, every one managed to get the routine down pat on the art of eating one's Otter Pop.  Even Greyson no longer needs assistance.

With it being a million degrees here in Phoenix, its a must to be wet if you walk outside.  So much that it is annoying to get changed into swimming attire each time.  So we would just get wet in our clothes.  The littles would strip down in their undies afterward, I would get the shampoo out and we would do a little outdoor showering :)

My first attempt at a Garden this year.  Everything was going really well.  Unfortunately while we were gone for a month, them temperatures hit a million and ONE and all the goodies that were ready to harvest all got baked.  It stunted the growth of my watermelons and killed 3 out of 4 tomato plants.  Zucchini roasted away, Cucumbers grew like crazy, but no bees pollinated so that was a waste of 4 plants, but sure enough the basil held strong.  So much it bolted to flowering.  Thick heavy branches took place and I had to trip it way down so that nice flexable green branches would start growing again.  I tore out the Zucchini and started fresh.  Birds have been my worst enemy so I had to create little shelters out of water bottles while my seedlings sprouted.
I decided to build a garden bed for pumpkins.  Pretty proud that I build a 1.5 x 6 foot garden bed.  Wood and Soil together totalling around $35.
